BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
Please complete your New Patient Form, a link to this can be found within the text of your appointment confirmation email. If you haven't received this, please contact us on 02380262614 or enquiries@footsense-podiatry.co.uk.
Please remove any nail polish, shellac or acrylics from your toenails. Our podiatrists will not be able to complete the treatment if this is present as they will not be able to see the nails. We are not able to remove shellac or acrylic nails at the clinic.
CANCELLATIONS
If you need to cancel your appointment with us, you will need to do so with a minimum of 24 hours before your appointment time.
If you cancel within 24 hours, you will be subject to a charge up to the cost of your appointment.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT
When you arrive
You'll find designated parking spaces to the left of the building and a fully accessible ramp leading to the main entrance. There is no charge for parking
If your appointment is between 9am and 4pm Monday to Thursday, you will be welcomed by Sally, our receptionist.
If your appointment is outside of these times, you will be greeted by your podiatrist.
DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT
Your podiatrist will begin by taking a more detailed account of your medical history and discussing any effects this could have on your foot health.
Your feet will have a foot health 'MOT', which will include checking the circulation to your feet using an ultrasound, as well as checks to the skin and nails.
During your appointment, you will receive treatment for the problem you've come to see us about. Your podiatrist will make you as comfortable as possible during your appointment, however, not all treatments are available in the first appointment. For example, nail removal surgery takes more time and preparation to complete.
Your podiatrist will also discuss with you the best treatment plan for you going forward.

5-DAY NIGGLE POLICY
If you feel your issue hasn't been fully resolved and is still uncomfortable in the 5 days following your appointment, please contact us and we will book you in as soon as we can to rectify this for no extra charge. Although not needed often, this is most commonly needed for corn removal.
Complaints Policy
Should you be unhappy with the treatment you have received, please contact us in writing via post or email at enquiries@footsense-podiatry.co.uk. Your feedback will be passed on to our Directors and be dealt with within 5 working days.
